Hyderabad, Aug. 27 -- Telangana Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar today accused the BJP of misusing religion for electoral gains while neglecting people's real issues.
Addressing the media at Gandhi Bhavan, he said the BJP repeatedly brings God into politics to secure votes.
Referring to the recent Janahita Padayatra in Gangadhara, led by TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud, Ponnam claimed that evidence of "vote theft" was exposed during the campaign. He challenged BJP national general secretary Bandi Sanjay to write to the Election Commission and seek a probe into "stolen votes," citing an incident in Karimnagar where 40 voter cards were reportedly found in one house.
