Hyderabad, Aug. 26 -- Telangana BJP Vice-President and Telangana Liberation Committee Chairman Dr Boora Narsaiah Goud on Wednesday said the party would take the history of Hyderabad's liberation to every household and launch a series of programmes ahead of September 17, Telangana Liberation Day.
Addressing a press conference at the BJP state office, he said Telangana was liberated from the Nizam's rule on September 17, 1948, and alleged that the sacrifices of thousands of people had not received due recognition. Citing the Sundarlal Committee report, he said around 20,000 people lost their lives during the liberation struggle.
