Panchkula, June 24 -- The BJP intensified its attack on the Congress ahead of the observance of "Constitution Murder Day" on June 25, with Haryana BJP leaders describing the 1975 Emergency as a dark chapter in India's democratic history.

Addressing a press conference at the BJP state headquarters, Panchkamal, Yamunanagar MLA Ghanshyam Das Arora said the Congress, which speaks of protecting the Constitution, should first examine its own record during the Emergency imposed on June 25, 1975.
