Ahmedabad, April 28 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) registered a sweeping and decisive victory in the Gujarat Local Body Elections 2026, reinforcing its political dominance across the state.
As results emerged, celebrations broke out at the party's state headquarters, 'Kamalam', in Gandhinagar, where large numbers of party workers gathered in a festive atmosphere.
Senior leaders, including Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Minister Harsh Sanghavi, and state BJP president Jagdish Vishwakarma, were expected to join the celebrations as the scale of the victory became clear.
