Shimla, July 2 -- BJP suffered a setback in Himachal Pradesh on Thursday as senior leader Brij Lal from Rampur Assembly constituency joined the ruling Congress along with over 300 supporters in the presence of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.
Soon after joining the party, Brij Lal and his supporters called on the Chief Minister at the State Secretariat.
Welcoming the new entrants, Sukhu said the Congress would accord due respect and recognition to every worker joining the party.
He said the state government was committed to the welfare of all sections of society and ensuring balanced development across Himachal Pradesh.
