Mumbai, Sept. 25 -- Maharashtra BJP spokesperson Ajit Chavan has urged the Nashik Police Commissioner to immediately stop the proposed screening of a documentary on Umar Khalid, alleging that it glorifies a person accused in a case related to anti-national activities.
Chavan said some organisations were planning to screen the documentary in Nashik, which is currently witnessing religious activities associated with the Kumbh.
He alleged that the documentary portrays Khalid, whom he accused of having an "anti-India mindset", in a favourable manner.
"We have demanded that the Nashik Police Commissioner immediately stop the screening," Chavan said.
