Hyderabad, March 19 -- The Telangana BJP on Thursday strongly criticised the A Revanth Reddy-led Congress government over its "Eid Ka Tohfa" outreach, terming it an instance of "appeasement politics" and questioning its funding and intent.
In a statement, state BJP chief spokesperson and media in-charge NV Subash alleged that the initiative raises concerns over the use of public funds for religion-specific benefits.
He said the government must clarify whether taxpayer money is being used and why welfare measures appear to be selectively targeted.
