New Delhi, July 29 -- The BJP on Wednesday launched a sharp attack on Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi over his allegations against union Home Minister Amit Shah in the Lok Sabha and later in his press conference, accusing him of making "false claims" and repeatedly "shifting the goalposts."Addressing media persons, twice in the day, BJP spokesperson and MP Sambit Patra rejected Gandhi's allegation that bullets were fired at protesting students and that Shah had ordered the use of force.
Calling the claim "false", Patra asserted that no firing took place during the protest and said such decisions are taken by the magistrate on the spot, not by the Home Minister.
