Kangra, May 1 -- Former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister and Leader of the Opposition Jai Ram Thakur on Friday questioned the state government's claims of delivering a "world-class healthcare system" amid reports of key hospital services remaining non-functional.
Addressing mediapersons at Matour on the outskirts of Kangra, Thakur alleged that the situation at Dr. Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College exposes the gap between government claims and ground realities. He said the OPD of the Cardiology department was locked, forcing patients, including the elderly and seriously ill, to return without treatment.
