Bengaluru/New Delhi, June 23 -- The Karnataka BJP has shelved its proposed move to take party legislators to the revered Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Temple for an oath-taking exercise aimed at identifying alleged cross-voters in the recent Legislative Council elections, following directions from the party's central leadership.

The decision was taken after Karnataka BJP president Vijayendra Yediyurappa and Leader of the Opposition R Ashoka met BJP national president Nitin Nabin in New Delhi on Tuesday to discuss the fallout of the MLC polls.
