Kolkata, May 30 -- West Bengal is likely to get a full-fledged BJP ministry next week, with sources indicating that Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari is set to expand his Cabinet nearly three weeks after assuming office.

According to sources in the state administration and the BJP, the exercise of finalising the list of ministers and allocating portfolios is in its final stages after multiple rounds of consultations aimed at ensuring political and regional balance.

If the schedule remains unchanged, the swearing-in ceremony is expected to take place on Monday, with the new ministry likely to comprise 33 members.

The expansion comes after weeks of speculation following the formation of the BJP government in the state.
