Bengaluru, May 29 -- Sensing a political opening after the resignation of Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, the BJP on Friday intensified its attack on the ruling Congress, alleging that the leadership change exposed deep internal divisions and instability within the state government.

Senior BJP leaders claimed the transition had weakened the Congress at a crucial political juncture and asserted that the opposition party was poised to regain lost ground in Karnataka.

BJP Rajya Sabha MP Lahar Singh Siroya said Siddaramaiah's exit reflected a larger power struggle within the Congress and indicated uncertainty over the party's future direction in the state.
