New Delhi, Feb. 26 -- Praveen Shankar Kapoor, spokesperson and Head of Media Department of the Bharatiya Janata Party (Delhi Pradesh), has written a joint letter to the Lieutenant Governor and the Chief Minister of Delhi seeking an inquiry into a procession held in Chandni Chowk on February 25.

In his letter, Kapoor alleged that over 200 people, whom he described as illegal encroachers posing as pavement hawkers, took out a procession on the main Chandni Chowk road under alleged police protection.

He claimed that the group raised slogans including "Jou Zameen Sarkari Hai Woh Zameen Humari Hai" while demanding the formation of vendor committees.
