Shimla, Aug. 24 -- BJP MLA and former Himachal Pradesh Assembly Speaker Vipin Singh Parmar on Monday raised concerns over the functioning of the state's health sector, alleging deterioration of medical institutions and demanding a white paper on purchases made by the Health Department.
Participating in a discussion under Rule 130 in the Himachal Pradesh Assembly, Parmar alleged that the Congress government had pushed health institutions towards deterioration during the nearly four years of its tenure.
He demanded an impartial inquiry into alleged irregularities in the purchase of stents at Dr Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College, Tanda, and sought a white paper detailing procurement undertaken by the Health Department.
