Ranchi, May 15 -- BJP leader and Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi has written to Chief Minister Hemant Soren seeking a CBI probe into the alleged treasury scam in Jharkhand, claiming the case could be bigger than the fodder scam if investigated thoroughly.
In a reminder letter addressed to the chief minister, Marandi alleged that despite his earlier communication dated April 11, no concrete initiative had been taken by the state government for an impartial investigation into the alleged illegal withdrawals from district treasuries.
He claimed that illegal withdrawals amounting to nearly Rs 130 crore had surfaced from treasury offices in around 14 districts, including Hazaribag, Bokaro, Palamu, Garhwa, Ranchi, Gumla, Deoghar, Jamshedpu...
