Dharamshala, June 1 -- Himachal Pradesh BJP spokesperson Rakesh Sharma on Monday claimed that the party's strong performance in the recent Municipal Corporation, Panchayat and Zila Parishad elections reflected growing public dissatisfaction with the state government led by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.

In a statement issued here, Sharma said the election results indicated that people were prepared to vote the Congress government out of power.

He alleged that voters had rejected what he termed as the government's poor governance, anti-people policies and unsatisfactory performance, while expressing support for the development agenda of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
