Davanagere, March 23 -- In a by-election that has spotlighted dynastic politics in Davanagere South, BJP candidate Srinivas T Daskariyappa on Monday filed his nomination papers, vowing to challenge family dominance in the constituency.

Accompanied by his wife and senior party leaders, Daskariyappa later led a grand roadshow from the city's Durgambika temple, highlighting the BJP's organisational strength.

Former Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa, former minister MP Renukacharya, ST Morcha state president Bangaru Hanumanthu, and Davanagere district president Rajashekar Nagappa were among the key participants.
