Chandigarh, June 3 -- The Punjab unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) categorically ruled out supporting either the Congress or the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the formation of the Nangal Municipal Council, asserting that it would maintain an equal distance from both parties.
Punjab BJP General Secretary Parminder Brar said the party has no plans to enter into any arrangement with either Congress or AAP for sharing power in the civic body. He maintained that both parties have become synonymous with corruption, poor governance, and political opportunism, and therefore do not align with the BJP's political principles.
