Jaipur, June 17 -- Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has said that "for practical purposes our country has become a Hindu Nation as the actions and moves of the BJP-RSS have taken religion-based politics to its peak".
Talking to the media here on Tuesday, Gehlot said "Now this is (Hindu Nation) just short of a statutory proclaimation".
"The BJP-RSS combine has openly been harping on communal (religion) based politics and winning elections one after one", he alleged.
"In the process non-Hindu religions have been marginalised. Now they would target minority communities. First they would target Muslims then one after one Christians and Sikhs would be on their target," the senior Congress leader charged.
