Patna, Aug. 5 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday carried out an extensive review of its unexpected defeat in the Bankipur Assembly bypoll to assess the reasons behind the loss and chalk out corrective measures for future.
Besides Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary and senior party leaders, ministers, MPs, MLAs, state office-bearers and functionaries who were involved in the bypoll campaign, also attended the meeting held under the chairmanship of BJP president Sanjay Saraogi at the BJP''s state headquarters in Patna.
During the meeting, the party leaders sought detailed feedback from leaders assigned election responsibilities to identify shortcomings in campaign planning, organisational coordination and voter outreach.
