Ashok RainaDharamshala, May 31 -- BJP leader and Dharamshala MLA Sudhir Sharma on Sunday expressed happiness over the Bharatiya Janata Party's emphatic performance in the Dharamshala Municipal Corporation elections, stating that the results reflected public resentment against the state government and growing confidence in the BJP.
Sharma said that out of the 17 seats in the Dharamshala Municipal Corporation, the BJP secured victory on 11 seats, while the Congress was restricted to five seats and one seat was won by an Independent candidate. He said the outcome clearly indicated that voters had given their mandate in favour of the BJP and against the Congress.
