Shimla, May 26 -- Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister's Principal Media Advisor Naresh Chauhan accused the opposition BJP of making "baseless" allegations of violation of the Model Code of Conduct out of frustration "over its poor performance" in the recent urban local body elections across the state.
Addressing mediapersons here on Tuesday, Chauhan said the BJP leaders should first "look within" before levelling charges against the Congress government over the convening of a Cabinet meeting during the enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct for Panchayati Raj elections.
He said Cabinet meetings had also been held during the Model Code period under previous BJP governments led by former chief ministers Jai Ram Thakur and Prem Kumar Dhumal. C...
