Bagalkot, April 4 -- The Karnataka unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday sharpened its bypoll campaign pitch by raising the Hubballi incident and targeting the Siddaramaiah-led Congress government over alleged concerns of women's safety and law and order in the state.
Addressing a BJP Mahila Morcha meeting here, former Chief Minister and MP Basavaraj Bommai alleged that incidents such as the recent case in Hubballi had created fear among women and reflected a breakdown in governance.
