Patna, March 14 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday criticised Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi over his alleged conduct at the Makar Dwar of Parliament along with some Congress MPs.

Addressing a press conference here, BJP national spokesperson Guru Prakash Paswan alleged that Gandhi had violated parliamentary decorum and termed the incident as inappropriate.

Paswan said Parliament is regarded as the temple of democracy where serious debates and discussions take place, and such conduct amounts to disrespect for parliamentary traditions.

He also questioned Gandhi's conduct and said constitutional institutions such as Parliament should be treated with dignity.
