Bhopal, June 5 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday announced two new candidates for the Rajya Sabha from Madhya Pradesh, including BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh and MP BJP State Secretary Rajneesh Agrawal.

The BJP did not rename its two sitting Rajya Sabha members from Madhya Pradesh, union Minister of State George Kurian, and Sumer Singh Solanki.

Kurian hails from Kerala, and was nominated from MP. Solanki is from Barwani district of MP. He was the choice of the RSS for the parliament's upper house.

The terms of both members end on June 21.

Amongst the new candidates, Chugh is from Punjab. He has been active in the party for several years, and earlier held positions in the BJP Youth Wing, the Bharatiya Janata Y...
