Kolkata, Sept. 4 -- BJP MLA Shankar Ghosh was today suspended from the West Bengal assembly for the rest of the session for disrupting proceedings of the House.

The suspension comes a couple of days after leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari was suspended for the same reason.

The incident occured when West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee began speaking in the assembly on a motion condemning attacks on Bengali speaking people in different states.

BJP legislators immediately started raising slogans demanding the withdrawal of Adhikari's suspension, forcing the Chief Minister to pause her speech and sit down.

Speaker Biman Banerjee expressed strong displeasure, saying, "It has always been their (BJP's) job to dishonour the House." D...
