Mumbai, Nov. 5 -- Bharatiya Janata Party's Mumbai unit president Ameet Satam has issued a warning against what he called attempts to "impose a Khan on Mumbai", stating that such efforts would not be accepted. The remark, made on social media platform X, came in the context of reactions to the recent New York mayoral election.
Without naming anyone directly, Satam referred to the surname of the newly-elected New York Mayor while alleging that the Maha Vikas Aghadi engages in "vote jihad". He wrote that just as the character of certain major global cities appears to be changing through electoral outcomes and leadership surnames, Mumbai must remain cautious.
