Mumbai, Nov. 19 -- In a major breakthrough in the ongoing probe into the Rs 65 crore Mithi River desilting scam, BJP leader Prasad Lad on Wednesday recorded his statement before the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Mumbai Police, which is probing the caseLad, before recording his statement, had claimed that he would reveal "shocking information" about the accused involved in the case.
Sources in the EOW confirmed recording the statement of the BJP leader and said that the investigating agency will examine the documents submitted by Lad and will also focus on the information provided by him.
