Bengaluru, April 13 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party on Monday launched a large-scale statewide programme in Karnataka to mark Dr BR Ambedkar's birth anniversary, combining commemorative events with political outreach and social awareness initiatives.
BJP leaders said programmes will be held across districts and taluk centres from April 13 to 20 to spread Ambedkar's philosophy of social justice, equality, and constitutional values among all sections of society.
Former state general secretary Jagadish Hiremani said the initiative includes cleanliness drives at statues, busts, roads, and memorials dedicated to Dr Ambedkar, along with evening commemorative events such as "Bheem Deepotsava" across Karnataka.
