Lucknow, March 11 -- Samajwadi Party (SP) national president Akhilesh Yadav has targeted the Bharatiya Janata Party government in the state over the Uttar Pradesh government's decision to grant permission to a programme by Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati of Jyotirmath in Lucknow.

He said that imposing unnecessary conditions and restrictions on any programme is a sign of a weak government. If the BJP cannot respect Sanatan traditions, then at least it should not insult them.
