Hyderabad, Feb. 16 -- Telangana BJP President N Ramchander Rao on Monday said the Bharatiya Janata Party has significantly improved its performance in the recent Urban Local Body (ULB) elections, emerging as the single largest party in over 15 municipalities and playing a key role in the election of chairmen and vice-chairmen.

Addressing a press conference at the BJP state office here, Rao said that while the party won fewer municipalities than expected, its overall vote share and seat tally registered a sharp rise. He said the BJP's strength in urban local bodies increased from 204 seats in 2020 to 336 seats in the latest elections.
