Dharamshala, June 1 -- The BJP emerged as the single largest party, winning 10 of the 17 wards, while Congress secured victory in six wards and one ward was won by an Independent candidate after counting was concluded for all 17 wards of the Dharamshala Municipal Corporation on Sunday.
The results were officially declared by Assistant Returning Officer and SDM Mohit Ratna.
BJP candidates won in Fersetganj, Bhagsunag, Kotwali Bazaar, Secretariat, Sports Complex, Barol, Dadi, Khaniyara, Siddhpur and Siddhabari wards. Congress candidates emerged victorious in McLeodganj, Kashmir House, Khajanchi Mohalla, Shyamnagar, Ramnagar and Kand wards, while Independent candidate Naresh Kumar won from Sakoh ward.
