New Delhi, Aug. 18 -- A day after unveiling his new team of national office-bearers, BJP president Nitin Nabin on Tuesday announced the election in-charges for three poll-bound states - Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Gujarat.

BJP national general secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Vinod Tawde has been given charge of Uttar Pradesh, putting him at the helm of affairs for the crucial Assembly elections scheduled in 2027. The party has also appointed national secretary Jagdish Ishwarbhai Patel as the co-in-charge for the key state.

In Punjab, national general secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Satish Poonia is the state incharge and in Gujarat Rajya Sabha MP and newly appointed national headquarter in charge Tarun Chugh has been given the responsibility.
