Dharamshala (HP), Sept. 18 -- The Nagrota Bagwan unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) accused the Congress government of corruption over the recent Palampur hotel deal, demanding a CBI or ED inquiry into what it termed a "multi-crore scam."Addressing a press conference, former MLA Arun Kumar Kukka alleged that the Kangra Central Cooperative Bank had extended a loan to hotel owner Roma Chauhan despite irregularities, and later wrote off nearly Rs 24 crore under the One Time Settlement (OTS) scheme.

"Shockingly, the very next day, the same hotel was purchased by local MLA RS Bali's wife, Bhumika Bali, and his sister, Rati Bali," Kukka charged.

He questioned whether this was a mere coincidence or "a clear case of converting public money ...
