Bengaluru, May 24 -- Warning Karnataka BJP leaders against complacency ahead of the upcoming elections, BJP national president Nitin Nabin has told party workers and legislators not to assume that anti-incumbency against the Congress government alone would bring the party back to power in the state.

The message was conveyed during a meeting with party MPs, MLAs and senior leaders at the BJP state headquarters in Bengaluru, former minister C. T. Ravi told reporters on Sunday.

Ravi said Nabin stressed that BJP leaders must intensify grassroots engagement, maintain close contact with party workers and the public, and build confidence among voters by highlighting what he termed the failures of the ruling Congress government.
