Patna, March 30 -- Announcing his resignation as the MLA from Bankipur assembly constituency, BJP national president Nitin Nabin on Monday promised that he would continue to serve the people of Bihar in a new role assigned by the party.
In an open letter addressed to the people of his constituency, his supporters and party workers, Nabin said he would be relinquishing the membership of the state after being elected to the Rajya Sabha.
He recalled that his political journey began in April 2006 when he was elected from the then Patna West seat following the demise of his father, late Naveen Kishore Prasad Sinha. "For the past 20 years, I have worked with full dedication to nurture and develop this constituency as a family," he said.
