Patna, Aug. 14 -- The Bihar unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday observed 'Partition Horrors Remembrance Day' at the party state office here, paying tribute to those who lost their lives and suffered displacement during the Partition in 1947.

BJP Bihar president Sanjay Saraogi, state organisation general secretary Bhikhu Bhai Dalsania, senior party leaders, ministers, office-bearers and a large number of party workers attended the remembrance programme.

Addressing the gathering, Saraogi said the country could never forget the pain caused by the Partition, which, he alleged, was a consequence of political interests and the pursuit of power.
