Varanasi, Sept. 8 -- With less than six months remaining for the assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has begun preparations to accelerate organisational activities in the Kashi region.
The first meeting of the Kashi region working committee, held on Monday evening at the BJP office in Rohaniya, emphasised the effective dissemination of upcoming campaigns and programmes down to the booth level, regular visits by officials, and a clear division of responsibilities.
The meeting was chaired by Kashi region president Ashok Chaurasia. National Minister and State co-incharge Jagdish Patel was the chief guest, and State Vice President and Kashi region incharge Ramesh Singh was the special guest.
