Koppal, Aug. 11 -- Karnataka Minister B Nagendra on Tuesday launched a sharp counterattack on the BJP, accusing it of targeting Dalits and backward classes because it could not tolerate their political rise, and declared that he was ready to face the Opposition head-on in the Assembly.
Reacting to the BJP's threat to stall the Assembly unless he resigned, Nagendra said the Opposition would get a "strong reply" inside the House.
"BJP leaders are fighting with the mindset that Dalits and backward classes should not rise. We are ready to give them a strong answer in the Assembly. Let them try to corner us; the Chief Minister and the entire Cabinet will respond appropriately," he said.
