Bengaluru, Aug. 25 -- The Karnataka BJP on Tuesday sharpened its campaign against Minister B Nagendra, announcing a 10-day padayatra from Raichur to Ballari from September 1 to 10, with the party seeking to turn the alleged Valmiki Corporation scam into a major political mobilisation in the ST belt.
State BJP president B Y Vijayendra said the nearly 190-200 km march would begin in Raichur and culminate in Ballari, passing through Lingasugur, Maski, Sindhanur and Siruguppa.
The route includes Sindhanur, Siruguppa and Ballari, areas that figured in the BJP's earlier strategy to regain ground in the ST belt where the party suffered setbacks in the 2023 Assembly elections.
