Kolkata, Feb. 13 -- The West Bengal BJP on Friday accused the ruling Trinamool Congress of running a "deliberate misinformation campaign" over incidents involving the deaths of migrant workers from the state, alleging that isolated cases are being projected as targeted attacks on Bengali-speaking people.
The charge comes in the backdrop of remarks by the TMC's second-in-command and National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee, who said that while the alleged killing of a youth from Purulia, Sukhen Mahato,in Pune is a matter of investigation, a pattern of attacks on Bengali-speaking people across the country is noticeable.
