Ranchi, June 10 -- : Jharkhand BJP president and Rajya Sabha MP Aditya Sahu on Wednesday accused the Congress of attempting to disrupt the constitutional process of the Rajya Sabha election by creating disturbances in the Assembly premises.

Addressing a press conference at the BJP state headquarters, Sahu alleged that Congress leaders, ministers, MLAs, former legislators and party workers gathered at the Assembly to exert pressure on the Returning Officer and influence the election process.

He claimed that Congress was resorting to such tactics due to apprehensions about the outcome of the Rajya Sabha election and accused the party of trying to interfere with a constitutionally mandated process.
