Bengaluru, June 27 -- The Karnataka BJP on Saturday accused the ruling Congress of orchestrating cross-voting in the recent Legislative Council elections through "unethical methods", alleging that the party had undermined democratic values for political gain.
Former BJP national general secretary and MLC CT Ravi made the charge after submitting the party's internal inquiry report on the June 18 MLC elections to state BJP president Vijayendra Yediyurappa.
"Congress leaders should not think that cross-voting happened out of loyalty to the Congress. When it happens in other states, they lecture others on democratic values. Now they themselves have devalued democracy through cross-voting and have no moral right to question it," Ravi told repo...
