Bengaluru, March 11 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday accused the ruling Congress government in Karnataka of claiming credit for recruitments initiated during the previous BJP regime while failing to fill a large number of vacant government posts.

Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council Chalavadi Narayanaswamy alleged that the Congress government was misleading the public by presenting BJP-era recruitment processes as its own achievements.

Speaking to reporters near Vidhana Soudha, Narayanaswamy said the state government had not addressed the growing concerns of unemployed youth even as around 2.84 lakh posts remained vacant across departments.
