Bhubaneswar, July 29 -- The Opposition Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Wednesday accused the Odisha government of completely failing to manage the flood situation in the state and alleged that it has not provided even basic assistance to people affected by the calamity.
Addressing a press conference at the party headquarters here, BJD leaders and MLAs Byomakesh Ray, Gautam Buddha Das, and Sanjib Mallick alleged that the state government failed to make adequate preparations despite advance warnings issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), resulting in the loss of four lives.
