Bhubaneswar, May 17 -- The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Sunday demanded strict action against the officer-in-charge of Morada police station in Odisha's Mayurbhanj district over alleged misconduct with a minor girl who had approached police to lodge a harassment complaint.
A delegation of the opposition party, led by district president and former minister Sudam Marandi, visited PRM Medical College and Hospital and met the girl and her family members.
According to the complaint, the Class 10 student had allegedly been facing harassment by a local youth for several days and had gone to Morada police station with her parents on Saturday evening to file a written complaint.
