Bhubaneswar, Sept. 23 -- The opposition Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Wednesday demanded the resignation of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, who also holds the Home portfolio, over the alleged assault of a young woman and a young man at Kapilash hill shrine in Dhenkanal district.
Addressing a press conference at the BJD headquarters here, Biju Mahila Janata Dal president Snehangini Chhuria and former State Women's Commission chairperson Minati Behera alleged that the law-and-order situation in Odisha had deteriorated and that the state government had failed to ensure the safety of women.
