Bhubaneswar, Sept. 19 -- The Opposition Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Saturday questioned the Odisha government's spending of Rs 3.3 crore on the repair and renovation of two official residences of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, citing information obtained under the RTI Act.
BJD spokesperson and media coordinator Dr Lenin Mahanti said the expenditure was a matter of concern, particularly when the state government had borrowed Rs 1.38 lakh crore in the past two years.
He questioned the government's reported refusal to provide details of the expenditure on various works, citing security concerns.
