Bhubaneswar, Oct. 29 -- The Opposition BJD on Thursday demanded a time-bound CBI probe into the alleged rape and murder of a 14-year-old girl in Balasore, citing alleged police lapses, possible evidence tampering and political interference.
Addressing a press conference at the party headquarters, BJD senior general secretary and national spokesperson Lekhasree Samantsinghar and MLA Ashwini Patra questioned the police handling of the case, including the reported release of the accused before the girl was traced.
