Bhubaneswar, June 27 -- The Opposition Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Saturday alleged that the law and order situation in Odisha has deteriorated significantly during the two years of BJP rule in the state, citing a rise in violent crimes and organised criminal activities.
Addressing a press conference at the party office, former Minister and MLA Tusharkanti Behera, BJD Minority Cell Zonal Co-Coordinator S.K. Nizamuddin and party spokesperson Lenin Mohanty accused the State Government of failing to maintain public safety and control crime.
Behera claimed that repeated incidents of murder and firing have created an atmosphere of fear and insecurity across Odisha.
